I am deighted that you are interested in finding out more about the booking process. The first step on your Blossom & Crumb journey is to complete my enquiry form. Once I have checked my availability I will be in touch to guide you through the next steps.

At this stage, if you know that you would definitely like me to make your cake then you can secure your date with a £100 deposit. Or, if you would prefer to taste the cake before confirming then you can book in for a consultation or tasting box first. If you go for the second option then I will keep you pencilled in and let you know of any other enquiries for your date but your date won't be officially held for you until a deposit is received.

I hold face to face consultations at my home in South East London on one weekend day per month. They are a fabulous way for us to get to know each other and for me to ask all the questions I need to ask in order to design a bespoke cake for you.

Appointments last for roughly one hour and include a tasting of up to four of my flavours. If you have a mood board for the wedding, fabric swatches, invitations or stationary samples or any photos of the venue and room set ups then do bring them along with you for inspiration.

If you have already paid a deposit then your consultation is complimentary. If you would prefer to taste the cake first without comitment then the consultation costs £30 (which is redeemable against the price of your cake should you chose to go ahead).

If it is not convenient for you to come to me for any reason then I also offer a tasting box service. You will receive four flavours of your choosing in one of my beautiful branded boxes to enjoy in the comfort of your home. Once you have tasted the cakes I will send over a questionnaire to gather more information about your plans and the style of cake that you are looking for. If we need to have a more in depth chat to finalise all the design details then we will have a video consultation to go through all those details.

I recommend tasting boxes for semi-naked cake orders as flavour is the main decision to be made as the design is already decided.

If you have already paid a deposit then your tasting box is complimentary. If you would prefer to taste the cake first without comitment then they cost £25 (which is redeemable against the price of your cake should you choose to go ahead).

Once we have agreed a design I will put a detailed online quote together for you which will include a sketch for bespoke cakes or a photo if you have chosen a semi-naked cake or one of my previous cake designs. You will be able to select any extras you may wish to include as part of your booking such as cake stand hire or additional favours or sweet treats. You can then confirm the quote online, sign the booking contract and pay your deposit (if you have not already done so) either via card directly from the invoice or by bank transfer. You will then be given access to your client portal where you will be able to see all our email correspondence and documentation.

Five weeks before your wedding I will be in touch to re-confirm all the details and make sure that there are no changes needed. The balance is then due four weeks before the wedding and you will receive an automated reminder with a link to your invoice. You can then sit back and relax as I plan the final stages of your cake.

I will plan the delivery two weeks before the wedding when I have a good idea of the weather as temperature can sometimes affect the ideal delivery time. At that stage I will contact your wedding planner or venue manager to find out the timings for the day. I will also liaise with your florist if you are having fresh flowers for the cake.

On the day I will arrive within the agreed window and will set your cake up in position. I provide allergen information for the venue and ask them to sign for the cake before I depart.

If you would like to start your cake journey or have any questions that you woul like me to answer that I haven't covered here then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
